vol. III pp.238-244 gives the trial of the petitioners in the parliament of
February 1388, ending in their sentence of death being commuted to exile in
various cities of Ireland.CCR 1385-9 pp.382-3 is dated at Westminster, 1
February 1388. CCR 1385-9 pp.515-6 is dated at Westminster, 12 July 1388,
and makes arrangements for the prisoners being in their places of exile by
the following Michaelmas. This petition would therefore seem to date from
between February and July 1388.CCR 1385-9::pp.388-9 is dated at
Westminster, 14 April, 1388, and may be in response to this petition or
others like it.
