The petition
is dated to? 1389 on the basis of apparently contradictory entries in the
patent rolls of August and November 1389 in the former of which it would
seem that the petitioner had exchanged the church of Warton for another
living, and in the latter of which the petitioner's estate in the church of
Warton is ratified (CPR 1388-92, pp.108, 130).
