Richard and
Rose de Weston request that whereas they have sued two writs of error
against Farndon before Bealknap and other justices at St Martin-le-Grand in
London to redress certain errors contained in two records returned with the
wrong judgment in the Hustings of London, by which they were wrongly
foreclosed from certain tenements, and the mayor and aldermen of London
claim by force of their franchise to have remanded the records into the
Hustings, that the justices be ordered to appear before the council to
discuss this case and determine whether the franchise is allowable or not,
and if it is not allowable that the justices proceed in their judgment and
do justice to the petitioners.

franchise of London was discussed and declared by the prelates, lords and
justices in parliament and it was agreed that the justices should proceed
in the pleas before them to the final judgment.
